This page explains the main Hulusport Bet football betting rules for pre-match and live markets. It covers football bet settlement, 90 minutes, extra time, penalty shootouts, cancelled or postponed matches, odds changes, VAR decisions and other common situations. Before placing a bet, always check the market name, time format, event status and any special conditions shown in your bet slip.

Hulusport Bet aims to settle football bets according to published market rules and official event data. Where a specific market description differs from a general explanation on this page, the conditions displayed for that market apply.

Football betting rules at Hulusport Bet

Football markets can be settled in different ways. A match result market may cover only normal time, while a qualification or tournament market may include extra time and a penalty shootout. Do not assume that every market uses the final competition winner.

Terms such as 90 minutes, including extra time, to qualify and outright winner describe how a market is settled. Read them carefully before confirming your selection.

Standard settlement time: 90 minutes

Most football markets are settled on the result after 90 minutes of play plus referee-added stoppage time. Stoppage time, also called added time or injury time, is the time added by the referee at the end of each half. It is part of normal time.

Extra time is different. It is played after normal time in some knockout matches and is not included unless the market clearly says that it is included.

  • Match Result / 1X2: usually settled after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
  • Double Chance: usually settled after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
  • Total Goals: usually settled after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
  • Handicap: usually settled after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
  • Both Teams to Score: usually settled after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.

For example, if a match is 1-1 after normal time and one team wins during extra time, a 1X2 bet on that team is normally losing where the market is stated as 90 minutes.

When extra time counts

Extra time football betting applies only where the market name or market rules specifically include it. Look for wording such as including extra time, to qualify, winner of tie, team to lift the trophy or outright winner.

A To Qualify market may include extra time and a penalty shootout because it concerns the team progressing in the competition. A standard Match Result market normally concerns the score at the end of 90 minutes only. Always check the individual market rules, especially for cup and knockout fixtures.

How penalties are settled

A penalty awarded during normal time or extra time is a match event. If it is scored, it may count as a goal where the selected market includes that period of play.

A penalty shootout is different. It takes place after extra time to decide which team advances. Shootout kicks do not usually count as goals for 90 minutes markets, totals, handicaps or both teams to score markets unless the market clearly states otherwise.

  • Penalty during the match: may count within the relevant match period.
  • Penalty shootout: usually does not change the normal-time score or total-goals settlement.
  • Qualification and trophy markets: may use the shootout outcome if the market includes it.

Check the market wording before betting on a knockout match. Penalty shootout betting rules can vary by market type.

Cancelled, postponed and abandoned matches

A cancelled football match bet, postponed football match betting selection or abandoned fixture is handled under the applicable market rules and completion period. The relevant conditions may depend on whether the match started, whether it is completed within the required period, and whether the outcome of a market had already been determined before play stopped.

  • Cancelled before kick-off: the affected bet may be void if no alternative rule applies.
  • Postponed before kick-off: the bet may remain active if the match is played within the applicable completion period; otherwise, it may be void.
  • Abandoned after kick-off: markets with an outcome already determined may be settled where permitted by the market rules. Other affected selections may be void.
  • Match resumed later: settlement may be based on the official completed result if the fixture is completed within the applicable period.
  • Official result changed: settlement may be reviewed in line with the applicable rules and official data.
  • Incorrect event details: a market with a material error in teams, date, competition or market description may be cancelled or voided.

A void bet means the affected selection is cancelled and its stake is returned in accordance with the relevant rules. It does not mean that every bet connected to an interrupted event will automatically receive the same outcome. Check the market rules and the applicable completion period before betting.

Live football betting settlement

Live football betting rules are important because match conditions can change within seconds. Odds may move quickly after a goal, red card, penalty, VAR review, dangerous attack or other significant event. Markets can also be temporarily suspended while event data is checked.

When you submit a live bet, it may be accepted, offered at updated odds, delayed for review or rejected. A live bet is final only after it has been confirmed in your bet slip. A market suspension does not by itself confirm or cancel a submitted bet.

For current in-play markets, visit Hulusport Bet live. Check the event score, clock, selection and displayed odds carefully before confirming a live wager.

Odds changes and bet confirmation

A football odds change can happen before your bet is accepted. The odds shown when you first select a market may no longer be available when you submit the bet. In this situation, the system may display a new price, request confirmation or reject the bet.

The final odds are the odds shown on the accepted bet confirmation. Before placing any bet, review your bet slip for the selected event, market, stake, possible return and current odds. This is particularly important for live football markets.

VAR, official data and result corrections

VAR can confirm, change or cancel a match event. A goal may be disallowed, a penalty may be awarded after review, or a card decision may be changed. During a VAR review, affected markets may be suspended until the event is confirmed.

Football bet settlement is based on available official event data and the relevant market rules. If an official source corrects a result after settlement, Hulusport Bet may review the affected bet in line with its Terms and Conditions. The timing and treatment of corrections may depend on the specific terms and market type.

Player, cards and corners markets

Player markets, cards and corners can have special settlement conditions. Check the specific market rules before placing a bet, particularly in live play.

  • Player markets: a selection may be void if a player does not take part, depending on the market rules.
  • Player goals: own goals are generally not treated as goals scored by the selected player unless the market rules state otherwise.
  • Cards: the treatment of cards shown to players, substitutes, coaches or team staff depends on the market description.
  • Corners: only corners officially awarded and recorded may count. A corner that is not taken or is cancelled may not be included.

Examples of football bet settlement

Scenario: The score is 1-1 after 90 minutes. Team A scores in extra time and wins 2-1.
Settlement: A 1X2 bet on Team A loses if the market was settled on 90 minutes.
Scenario: The score is 0-0 after extra time. Team B wins the penalty shootout.
Settlement: A Total Goals Over 0.5 bet for 90 minutes loses if shootout kicks are not included.
Scenario: A match is cancelled before kick-off.
Settlement: The affected selection may be void under the applicable market rules.
Scenario: A live bet is submitted while VAR reviews a possible goal.
Settlement: The bet may wait for confirmation, be accepted at updated odds or be rejected.
Scenario: A bet is placed on Team A To Qualify.
Settlement: Extra time and the penalty shootout may count where the market terms state that qualification is the settlement basis.
